By working with an Advocate, you are able to understand your rights and learn how to access appropriate supports and services for your child.

Additionally, the following services are provided:

  • Obtaining school records and interpreting the educational data
  • Educational program assessment
  • Identifying areas of concerns
  • Assistance with transition from early intervention to preschool services
  • Aiding families in the Individualized Educational Program (IEP) process
  • Advising parents of alternative placements
  • Assistance with district funded residential placements (including out of state placements)
  • Monitoring classroom programs and school services
  • Accompanying and advising families through the Due Process system

    • Informal Meetings
    • Mediation Conferences
