About Andrea D. Lorant, M.A.

I am a former teacher with Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), a parent of two children with special needs, and an Advocate / Education Consultant in private practice for over 20 years.

I have participated in thousands of Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) in the Southern California area as well as educational related due process proceedings. I have provided training to regional center staff members and attended IPPs and other informal regional center meetings with clients. I have been a frequent presenter at meetings of professional organizations and parent support groups.
